Dream it, Believe it, Create it
Kdrama Addict
Monday, July 18

Over the course of the holidays I had planned to complete all, well most, of my assignments and homework which of course didn't happen. I planned out what i should do each day on a calendar but unfortuntely my laziness got the better of me and I didn't do what i wanted each day. But on the brighter side, I did do SOME of my work which is still very satisfying to me even though I really regret being so lazy and 'cbb' during the holidays. School is starting tomorrow and, like the intelligent and organised person I am, instead of staying at home and finishing my geo work, that is probably due before Tuesday, I'm going shopping with Anita. Oh the guilt I will feel tonight when I have to forcefully finish my speech and powerpoint. It's going to be so bad! =="

So moving on, during this holiday I started watching two dramas. Yes, if one wasn't enough I had to watch two. I'm watching Miss Ripley and Heartstrings. I really don't understand why i'm watching it now because it's still airing in Korea and I would have to wait ages before the next new episode comes out.

So instead of me writing a blog about which drama I like best and why, I will write a short synopsis for each and you can decide which one you'd want to watch.

Miss Ripley - Yoochun!
This drama is basically about lies and how a girl (Jang Mi Ri) tries to become successful by using lies. The girl is an orphan and after being adopted she became a prostitute in Japan. After a while she finds herself in Korea and she coincidentally encountered her friend (Moon Hee Joo) who went to the same orphanage as her. She not only uses her friend, she also uses people's feelings. That is all i'm going to say. I guess it's good to see how people manipulate the truth by using lies but I kinda got really annoyed at how two-face and manipulative the main girl is. The only reason i'm sitll wtaching it is because all her lies are getting revealed now and she is slowly losing everyone and everything she once had because of her lies.

Heartstrings - Yonghwa and Minhyuk!
I can't really put this drama into words. It's just a college love story between a guy and a girl who start out hating each other and ultimately falls in love with each other after conquering many obstacles. Yeah, it's pretty clinche but that's pretty much it. BUT Minhyuk is so adorable and funny in this drama. He plays the role of the dorky and naive drummer. Although he isn't really the male lead, he is still worth watching!
In my opinion, Yonghwa plays the role of a cold hearted guy well because of his appearance. But if you were talking about his acting, he can't act. He just can't express himself properly with his facial expressions and body languages. Hate me if you want but that's the truth. I'm sorry.
I know twitter many people didn't want to watch Heartstrings because they couldn't bare seeing Yonghwa with another girl who isn't Seohyun from SNSD. That is because Yonghwa and Seohyun was on a show called We Got Married where they pretended to be married couple. It was really cute and corny but they had to stop being a couple and appearing on the show because of both Yonghwa's and Seohyun's schedules.

I should really stop watching these dramas and get all my work done. But I cant't because i'm a kdrama addict. Once I start, I can't stop. It's like reading a book. Once you start reading it, you can't stop no matter what. I think I need to go to a kdrama rehab. I've got absolutely no self control whatsoever. :(
