Monday, December 27

Your face was red, your eyes were teary and your breathing was heavy. I asked you if you were alright and you said yes. I knew deep down that you weren't but I refrained from asking anymore questions. Why? Because I knew in time you would tell me what was wrong. How? Based on the one thing that bonded us together. The one thing that we had that no one else had as strong as us. Trust.

What does Justin Bieber and Bondi have in common?
Thursday, December 23

Today i went to Manly with the girls, well it was suppose to be some of the guys too but they were too indecisive so we uninvited them. True story, NOT! They were too lazy to go, but oh wells we had an awesome girls day out without them.

Angela and i meet at 8 and then Angela received a very unpleasant phone call from Michelle Dam stating that she would be delayed by 30 mins because she just woke up. Michelle Da-uhm, i know you're reading this. Shame on you! So we had to go with plan B and we met up at Fairfield station along with Anita. Michelle soon came and we all boarded the next train to Circular Quay, meet Elizabeth on the train along the way.

With one minute left, we all got off and walked/power walked off the station and into wharf 3. Luckily the man didn't shut the gate yet so we were able to board the ferry. 30 mins had past before we arrived at Manly Quay. We all changed/had a toilet break at the carpark toilets, which is just around the corner from the exit of the wharf. After changing we headed straight towards the beach. Slip slap slop! Too bad we only did the 'slap' part of the slogan. We chucked on lots of sunscreen before we started getting in the water. Anita and i went into the water first. The water was pretty cold but you kinda got used to it after a while. Elise joined us after she finished putting on her sunscreen whilst Michelle, Angela and Elizabeth were playing the sun. After lots of persuading, the 'sand playing people' joined us in the water.
Just a heads up, getting salt water and sand in your eye isn't really pleasant, i should know. Also, getting sand in your undies isn't all that comfortable either. =/

After playing in the water for a bit we started to have lunch. I halved a beef kebab with Elizabeth and had some onion rings, Elise had a beef kebab, Angela had a chicken burger frozen stunner deal and Michelle and Anita shared a fish and chips. The most painful part of eating was the seagulls trying to snatch our food. TWICE did the vicious birds fly from behind us and into our food with the attempts to steal it. Angela was the victim of both the encounters. After the first attack, she flipped her burger over and ate the other side. Then there was a second attack and she didn't know how toe at her burger anymore because both sides of her burger were seagulls infected. LOL.

We applied more sunscreen and then had a stroll down the beach before we went into the water again. This time we had a more fun time in the water. There were more waves and we were deeper in the water than before. It was really funny jumping on the waves and getting hit by them. All the fun ended when oen of the lifeguards were talking on the speakers and warned us that some people had been stung by blue bottles already. Instantly everyone ran out of the water with shocked and scared expressions on their face. It was hilarious. We kinda did the same thing too. :$

We decided the change into our clean clothes and wash off all our sand in those shower things on the beach. Whilst we were walking, i spotted a $10 note in the sand with no bags or towels around it. Elizabeth picked it up and ran. We are so asian. Haha. It wasn't easy washing off the sand. We all had sand in our bikinis, hair, boardies and undies. It took us a while but eventually we finished washing off most of the sand on us.

With the $10, we bought 4 slushies at seven eleven and shared it amongst us. Afterwards we tried to run for our ferry but sadly missed it. To cheer ourselves up, we bought some McDonalds and indeed did it cheer us up. We boarded the ferry and headed abck to Circular Quay. From Circular Quay we decided to go to China town to buy some stuff. Instead of taking the train to Central then walking, we decided to take the free shuttle bus. Our first attempt to get on a free shuttle bus failed. Instead of stopping, the bus driver drove past waving to us at the bus stop. WHAT THE? We continued walking following the street before we found the next bus stop, which was pretty far awar. We boarded the shuttle bus and headed for China town. At China town Michelle and Anita bought a poster and we then headed back home.

It was a really fun day today and i'm really glad that i was able to share it with you guys. Thankyou for the invite to the beach guys and hopefully we can do it again sometime. FYI i still have the feeling of the waves hitting against my leg/feet. It's really weird. Haha. Oh and i also got my, what i call 'real' timetable today. Hurlstone Agricultural High School, you are really messed up! Please don't take it personally Hurlstone, i still love you.
*cough cough*

Hi I'm Asian and contrary to many beliefs, I'm a fantastic driver!

Don't you hate family parties? Esp the ones where you don't know anyone AT ALL at the party. Yet parents expect us children to just 'click' and talk and play together when they put us in a room. Sorry hun, we're not 5 year kids, we're 15 year old teenagers.

Anyways, what made me say this is because I've got a family party on Saturday and I don't know any of the kids there. I only know the adults and I can't jus sit and talk about stuff with adults. It's awkward and against the status quo.

I'm not good with people, esp not with people I don't know. If you knew me well you would know that I'm as quiet as a mouse and really unsociable in an unknown environment around people I don't know. BUT! When I'm around people I do know, I'm not afraid to go crazy and be as loud as a parrot.

Saturday is going to be awkward and we're gonna be there for the whole day. Fingers crossed that there are kids younger than me there. Toes crossed that the younger kids are toddlers because I'm good with kids, surprisingly. Eyes crossed that all goes well and I don't bore myself.

Realize and reflect

I was reading helen's blog about what happened on Monday and it made me realize about how differently I blog now compared to when I first used blogger. Instead of detailed recaps of what happened on the day, I rant on about stupid stuff. I've realized what was wrong and now I'm going to reflect and make changes.

Today I went livo with Angela. We started off the trip walking around in circles and randomly going into shops and not buying anything. Yes, the first half of the day was pretty weird. Angela wanted cookies so we headed off to the cookie man shop on the bottom level. We realized that the cookies were heaps expensive so, as Asians, we wen into Coles and bought a pack of double choc cookies from the baked section. The bonus bit was that it was on sale for $2. That's a saving of one dollar something. LOL.

We walked around more whilst eating our cookie. We had nothing to do so we decided to visit Christina at vinnies. Christina was at the back working and we kept calling her name softly to get her attention. We called her name softly cos the manager and other workers were at the bag tagging the clothes and stuff too. After several attempts Christina finally heard and noticed us. By that time we've already given the manager a bad impression because we were disturbing his volunteers. Sorry!

We then headed off to the food court to grab some lunch. Angela and I ate a snack box (michelle's favorite food from kfc) and Christina ate a quarter pounder meal. You know, the funny thing was that I was able to guess what Angela and Christina was going to get even before they ordered. I guess that's what happens when you've been friends with something for years!

After lunch Christina went back to vinnies and Angela and I continued shopping, properly this time. Just Jeans were having a sale. $20 off shorts. SCORE! So I bought a pair of denim shorts which were originally $40 and got it for $20. I'm was a happy chap. We then went to cotton on and Angela and I each bought a tank because it was 2 for $20. Mine was a peachy colour and I think Angela's was white with some colourful flowers or patterns in the middle.

After buying the tanks we headed home. After I dropped Angela off I went to priceline with mum to pick up some medicines. While I was waiting for them to get the medicine, I saw this lady asking about a bio-oil product in which she wanted a small size bottle but it was sold out and only medium and large size was left. After the lady left I went to see what the product was. It turns out that this bio-oil product helps reduce scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tones and other stuff. I wanted to get it because I've got lots of stretch marks and I think it was from when I hit puberty. Well that was one of the reasons for the stretch marks on the back of the bottle. I wanted the small bottle just to it out so I went to ask one of the ladies. Turns out that the bio-oil has been on sale since last week and that everytime they're on sale, they go like hot cakes (that's literally what she said). Wow, I guess it's really effective then since everyone uses it. The sale for it ends on Friday so I might go and see if I can get my hands on one. It prevents stretch marks and reduces it so it's not as notice able because if you don't already know stretch mark occurs when the muscle grows too fast and the skin doesn't grow at the same speed so it tears. Stretch marks can't be removed. It can only be reduced in colour! :'(

So if anyone has stretch marks or scars go try out that bio-oil product. It's worth a try. Fingers cross that I can go out and get one before Friday and that it works. (yn)

Yes, I'm more shocked than you are!

I still remember half way through the year how I kept saying to Helen and Kim how I would NEVER get a twitter account. But who knew that I would become a huge hypocrite and do the total opposite.

So follow me everyone! Though I think you should lower your expectations because the life of Vivian Ma isn't all that interesting. Oh and please bare/bear with me because twitter is new to me and I'm a tad lost in this new dimension.

I also linked my blog address to my twitter account so there's going to be people reading my blogs. I think I Gould proofread everything from now on. Actually nah, scrap that. I cbb! :)

Cheap and good

On Saturday I went to the family party I was talking about before. It didn't turn out as bad as I thought. The family had two sons and the younger is the same age as me but I was 3 months older. He has a really cool birth date, 26th December, boxing day. He hates his birth date because Christmas would always steal his thunder. LOL. Also, his elder son was a year older than my sister, schooling wise. So yeah, it wasn't that bad since try were pretty much the same age as us.

Half way through the day we went to the top Ryde Westfield or whatever it was called because the party was at Ryde.

We went Myers and a family friend bought a pair of jeans for her husband. The jeans were marked down from $100 to $20. Cheap aye? But when the guy scanned it turned out to be only $8! $100 jeans went down to $8! But for some reason it was only that pair of jeans. We found another one of the same kind but it was still $20, which I think is still pretty good.

After the party we went back home. Once we got back home, me and my sister took a shower (because we had the smell of spring rolls all over us) and then left for a long game of mahjong at sister's friend's house. It started at 10-11 and ended at 2. I was winning in the beginning but it suddenly went down hill and I kept losing. No worries, there's always next time.

Party like it's 2012
Sunday, December 19

Yesterday was vk's pool party, well it wasn't really a party. If I had to describe the whole day in one word it'd be superfreakinfunandawesome. LOL.

The day started off with me getting to vk's house at 10 with Angela, Jennifer, Cassandra and Laureena already there. Me and vk and her mum ducked out or a bit to buy some plastic plates at one of the discount stores. On our way back we stopped by Yirena's house to see if she wanted a ride. Turns out she was half way through showering when we arrived. So we waited for her and headed back to vk's house.

More people started coming and at least the highlight of the day began. It was...MASTERCLASS with MRS KONG making her delicious and famous dish PASTA WITH DOLMIO PASTA SAUCE! It was hilarious. Everyone gathered around vk's mum and made mental notes regarding the procedure of the pasta, how many teaspoons of sugar and salt she put in and the different dolmio sauce she used. After eating pasta we started baking the delicious sweet potato chips from McCains.

After eating, we started making water bombs and got changed for the second highlight of the day. THE POOL! We all got in an mucked around and played catch with the non-swimming people at each ends of the pool. Once all the water bombs were used up, we had to resort in improvising. We found popped water bombs with only the rims broken off and began making mini baby water bombs out of them. They were really, really, really small and hard to tie.

We all got changed and ate a bit more food and I think after that we went to the park. We danced around at the park before heading back because the sun was wayyyy to hot

NOTE: When we were swimming in the pool, the sun was hiding shyly behind the clouds. But right before we went to the park, the sun decided to come out of it's shell and shoe brightly and tiringly at us and made us slap on litres and litres of sunscreen.

After we got back from the park me and Yirena and Jennifer decided to swim again in the pool. We had to change back into our half dried swimmers. After we got in the pool, vk suggested to eat ice cream which resulted I'm us three and Julia sitting on the edge of the pool licking away our ice cream.

We played a bit of basketball and soon people started disappearing. For dinner, we ate some delicious Asian style noodles. It wasn't look after eating that I had to head home.

Again, I would like to take this chance to thank vk and her mum for all the trouble they went into preparing this day and cooking all the delicious food to fill up our stomachs. Thankyou so much for letting us spend the day at your house and i hope to catch up with you soon. Thanks again MAMA! :)

The Oprah Winfrey Show
Tuesday, December 14

Short post because i'm going soon. Mum and sister went to the Oprah show and each person recieved a card to redeem a Kailis necklace. From what i've heard, the necklace is originally $600 but if you went to the Oprah show and want another one/more it'll only cost $450. It's really pretty. Shiny and simple.

Here's the link for the necklace:

F* YEAH!

OMG! I just spent the last hour trying to complete a level in the angry birds seasoning app. Okay so one hour is an overstatement but it did it feel like an hour, well it was somewhere around 40mins. Friken pigs just wouldn't die. What really ticked me off was when I used my last bird to killing the remaining 3 pigs. I killed two of those pigs and the last pig was slowly rolling down the tower. It was about to fall off and die but then the stupid app said I failed that level. That happened twice!! And I kept having one pig left over.
MOTHER FATHER!

Don't tell me to calm down. I will kick your ass. Don't say it's just a game. I will kick your ass.

I hate not being able to complete a level in angry birds. But when I do complete it after ten years, the feeling is awesome. That feeling of accomplishment and success just overwhelms me.

If only my determination to win a game in an app was the same as my determination to study. It is only then will my life be complete.

Point of post: TAKE THAT ANGRY BIRDS! DONT MESS WITH THE MA!

My wallet's bleeding

Yesterday I went to parra with my mum and sister. It's been a while since we had a girls day out shopping. In total we spent close to $500. This includes food and bus fare. But hey at least we bought quite a lot of stuff with that. I think the happiest thing about yesterday's shopping is that the clothes my sister bought I can fit into it and so we can share clothes. It's not everyday that I can share clothes with my sister cos she's smaller than me :(
Also, it's the first time for me to go shopping and go home with bags and bags of clothes. Shopping really does make you happier.

I don't know why but it felt as if my mum was spoiling me yesterday. She literally let me buy whatever clothes I want even if they were 40-50 or plus. But I didn't buy anything heaps expensive because I didn't want my mum to spend so much on just one piece of clothing.

I ate sushi today at Fat Panda. I think I talked about this restaurant before in one of my post. The highlight of the Fat Panda sushi is the chef killing a fly with what seems to be a blow torch. The fly landed on the bench, next to where the chef was. The chef picked up the blow torch really swiftly and casually (as if he's done it a billion times before) and went PSHHHHHH and the fly dropped dead. Roast fly anyone?

Sister and mum went to city today to collect their tickets to see Oprah on Tuesday. They had to wait 2 hours in the hot sun because the line was heaps long. Also, they got to see Oprah and they were less than 1m away from her. Can't wait to see what Oprah gives us on Tuesday since she's been planning this trip to Australia for a really long time. It's going to be something good. I can feel it. I still can't believe she brought 300 people from America to Australia and covered all their cost in Australia. She really is a woman with power. She's such an inspirational person. You go girl! LOL.

Never hit a girl
Friday, December 10

It's plain and simple. A girl can hit a guy if she has a legitimate reason. BUT! A guy must NEVER hit a girl whether or not a legitimate reasons is given. This includes hitting, punching, slapping, kicking etc. It's not cool and the scientific term for this is GIRL BASHER! So keep your hands and feet to yourself guys!

P.S. Kids, i'm not angry or upset. I just want to clear things up and get the message across :)

Sometimes the journey is more important than the destination
Wednesday, December 8

The path ahead is going to be filled with many obstacles,
but it's important to remember who you are and stay true to that, no matter what.
You can't let challenges from the outside transform who you are on the inside.
- winx club

I love winx club. Not only is it fun to watch but it's also really inspirating, quote wise that is. I remember the other day i posted another quote from it onto facebook. This quote is the title of this post. See? Very inspiration aye?
Oh and btw here's today's countdown:-

HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN ; 2 DAYS!!

We didn't have our english party today. Apparently the timetables were stuffed up and ms davis had to go on an extension 2 excursion and dogged us. But the good side is that the party is postponed to tomorrow, which is period 6. Fingers crossed that she'll remember to bring HIMYM.

Sport today was pretty fun. It wasn't as packed as i thought. Well it was packed but it wasn't packed to the point where we couldnt move around freely. The guys started doing these weird tricks on the diving board and some of them sounded/looked very painful. Justin was probably the most funniest one of them all. He would jump of the board, mkaing it seemed it like he jumped off unexpectedly and mistakenly. Like in the air he would flap his arms and legs to emphasise the 'accident' part of the diving. It was one of those you had to be there moments. During sport, alex got over his fear of the diving board and managed to go on it twice. Well done buddy. We also made a whirlpool in the shallow end. It was really funny because out of no where the guys would scream out 'CHANGE DIRECTIONS' and surprisingly everyone listened to them and followed what they said. LOL. According to my sources, raymund started the first whirlpool. Haha. i love my grade. They're so funny and weird and random. I wouldn't change grades for the would.

Love you guys! (no homo)

Look all you want just don't touch the hair

HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN ; 3 DAYS!!

Yupp, you didn't hear wrong. 3 days of school and year 9 left for 2010. WOOT WOOT.

Today we played basketball for pe. Our team (Drina, Angela, Anita, Helen and Me) won the first set and we technically would've won the second set if we didn't give up because we were too tired and couldn't be bothered to play anymore. Also, I jarred my finger whilst playing. Wow, I haven't jarred my fingers in 3 years! Now that is a record. It's swollen and purple on the knuckle. I've never had that part bruised before. I've only jarred the meaty bits between the knuckle and the other joints. I am very weird... hehe!

Tomorrow's Wednesday and you know what that means. SCHOOL SPORT! I'm looking forward to swimming the pool but yet I'm not really looking forward to it because all year 7-10 school sport and other sports that aren't recreational sports will be in the pool. It's going to be so packed and hard to change. Sigh.

On the happier note, this is my 158th post. My goal is to have 200 posts by the end of the year. I'm hoping to post my 199th post on New Years Eve and 200th at midnight on the 1st of January 2010. I think it's mission impossible. But hey, nothing is ever impossible. It just depends on how much effort you put into completing it. I think I MIGHT just be able to do it. After all the summer holidays are just around the corner and that means I'll have plenty of time to blog...about anything random that amuses me or about what I've done during the day which would be uber boring.

Just to add, the movies this year don't seem that good. I don't think I'll be going out to the cinema anytime soon.

M9 Skirmish
Monday, December 6

Here's a quick recap of what I did yesterday. After dinner, I set off to Darling Harbour with my sister and her bf. We got there about 9:30 pm? We went to star city to pick up sis's bf's brother and may I just add that the hotels there are pretty cool. But weird how you have to put in your room card into the slot in the lift before choosing your desired level. LOL. I think I'm just overreacting but yeah. You should go check it out sometime.

Anyways, we went bowling and it was pretty packed. We had to wait 20 mins before the people on our lane finished playing. The bowling centre had a really nice view of the harbour and they were playing weird musics at the beginning before they started playing smack that by akon, yeah 3x by Chris brown (awesome song) and some songs from usher.

After bowling we played M9 Laser Skirmish which was right next to our bowling lane. It was my first time playing laser tag and I was kinda lost at the start. Soon people began shooting me and I started getting the gist of the game. Sister said it's really tiring because you run around a lot. But when we played it was mostly walking around. The girls on the yellow team was so easily to kill. But the blue team, which consisted of Asian guys, were full playing tactical and going around in pairs. How asian of them to play tactical. There was also a point during the game where we started shooting people in our own team. Haha.

Overall, I came 5th and our team came first ! WOOHOO GO GREEN TEAM.

After that we played in the arcades. We played Mario Kart and it was really cool. Except the part where the item button didn't work so we couldn't se our items. The cool bit was when you get your photo taken with parts of the character on you.
E.g. If you chose Mario as your character, you would have his eyes and hat and mustache on the template when you take you photo. It was hilarious.

We then left at 1AM and got home at 2AM. I was amazed at how bright it was at 2AM because I thought it would've been dark, like 11PM dark. Guess I was wrong.

Yeah, I got a little bit carried away and instead of being a quick recap it became a story long recap. LOL

I'm off now. I gotta do my moodle homework that was suppose to be submitted 2 hours ago ><

Rugrats the original NOT Rugrats all grown up
Saturday, December 4

HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN ; 6 DAYS!!

Facebook, once again you've done a magnificent job in starting a new trend. A trend that's got all the year 9's all hyped up. A trend that's making all of us think about our childhood. A trend that we don't say 'i want to do/get that'. A trend that if you haven't seen this before, you've just wasted half your life. I call this trend the 'OMG! You remember this show and this character and AWWW I used to watch this cartoon everyday' trend. Does this make sense? No? GOOD!

Thinking back to when I was in primary, I was such a couch potato. I used to come home after school and watch all the cartoons from 3-6. That is probably the reason why I know most of the cartoons on everyone's Facebook picture.

Kids, we all know that Rugrats was the best kid show ever. Well, after Tom and Jerry because that was a classic show. If you don't know who Tommy and Chuckie and Angelica and Phil and Lil and Suzie and Dil is, just go to the nearest corner and cry because that is just unacceptable! I'm only kidding. But if you seriously don't know who they are, you are just sad.

Tomorrow I shall try and name as many childhood shows as I can. It's going to be a pretty long list but it'll be worth it.
:)
